Disneyland Birthday

Back in October, Noah and I were able to do something really special, not to mention FUN, for his birthday. Just the two of us (and a our friend Julieanne) spent 3 fun filled days in Disneyland and California Adventure. This is the first time we have been able to visit outside of summer, so it was cool seeing the park all dressed up in its holiday decor. To top it off, he was able to meet a lot of the villains that are not usually at the park. We also were able to ride on a few rides that had special changes for the Halloween season. Space Mountain is one of his favorites and it had nice little added surprises around each whiplashing turn. On the day of his birthday we attended Mickey's Trick or Treat party. I was really suprised to see that almost everyone was in costume that night. We even caught sight of a few characters that we have never seen at the park, Cinderella's stepmother and evil stepsisters. It turned out that they weren't employees. Even more suprising, they weren't even girls! (Picture below)

We both had a great time apart from Noah coming down with a fever and myself spending a night feeling nauseated. I hope this will be a birthday that he always remembers.

Still catching up!

I know we are ready to see some spring colors but I am still on fall colors!

Fall term I decided to take a photography class and one of our first assignments was fall colors. I am not really a scenery photo type of a person so I had to throw my kids in them. In the end I tried to stretch myself and do something without people in them. I have to say I was a little suprised with what I was able to capture.

North Perry Gator Football 2009

Both of the boys had a great season. Jayce's team finished the regular season with out being scored on. They only allowed one touchdown in the playoff games. They ended their season with a 2 point loss in the championship game. That championship loss was only their second loss in three seasons. They are a great team. Noah's team made it through the regular season without a loss and won the county championships. They went on to play in the First Annual, Champion vs Champion, Battle of the Bridge. They played the champion team from Jefferson county and won 38-13. What a season!

I have another teenager!!

Sydney's 13!
Sydney decided on a luau theme this year. We had hawaiian music, tiki lamps and pineapple slushies. They played beach ball and water ballon volleyball. We also had some waterballon games that, of course, turned in to a water fight. Some getting more soaked than others.
They all had a great time
They roasted hot dogs and marshmallows in the fire pit.

For some very odd reason Sydney doesn't like cake. Luckily we found these very theme appropriate ice cream bowls. Each ice cream was flavor of the bowl it came in. Pineapple, coconut, orange, lemon and pina colada.

All she wanted for her birthday was books or gift cards for books. Ask and ye shall receive.

Yeah! The books I wanted!!

Cute little Syd

Along with the marshmallows came the marshmallow flinging. Jayce was lucky that the flame had gone out before this one pelted him in the eye. So no he didn't smear his mascara.

First Day of School 2009

This year we have kids in three different schools. Have to love it, having 3 different schedules and activity calendars. Lindsay is a sophomore this year but that is the first year of high school here. She begged me not to take her picture in from of the school this year. She said it was too embarrassing. I told her that I wouldn't make her stand in front of the school but that didn't prohibit me from catching her walking into the school as I drove away. I had to get my photo!

Lindsay- 10th grade
She's the one in the yellow pants (hehe)
Sydney moved up to Jr High this year. Jr High starts with the 7th grade. A lot of people know her because she is at the school Lindsay went to last year. Although people say to her, "I thought you were Lindsay little sister?" They all think she is older than Lindsay. She is in a couple of classes that are above her grade level and they all assume that she is a freshman because of her height.

Sydney- 7th grade
Jayce and Noah are the two left at the elementary school. Jayce has started in band and it playing precussion. He is also the ASB Vice President. He ran for the postition at the end of last year and took over Sydney's position. He said he was keeping it in the family.

Jayce- 5th grade
Noah, my baby, isn't quite a baby anymore. I can't believe how time flys! Next thing I know he'll be in high school.

Noah- 3rd grade

California Fun!

You might want to grab some popcorn. Not because it will be a great movie but because it is about 10 or so minutes long. ;o)

Happy Birthday Triplets!

Well now that I am 5 months behind I am going to try and play catch up. We'll see how long that takes. So here goes!

Not really triplets, cousins born within 28 days of each other. We try to have a little birthday gathering every year. This year (or should I say last year now since we are in 2010) they are celebrating #13!

Don't look so enthusiastic
I'll huff and puff and blow that candle down!

Happy Birthday to us!
